Unnið er að því að hleypa íbúum inn í sínar eignir á mesta hættusvæði Grindvíkur. Heimildin í dag tekur til 90 fasteigna. Okkur gekk vel í gær en þetta tekur tíma. Vinna heldur áfram næstu daga. Erfiðlega gengur að afgreiða alla þá tölvupósta sem berast aðgerðastjórn. Við reynum hvað við getum að mæta þörfum íbúa Grindavíkur og svara þeim erindum sem okkur berast við erfiðar aðstæður. Samskipti aðgerðastjórnar við íbúa Grindavíkur hafa hingað til verið mjög góð og er það þakkarvert við svo erfiðar aðstæður. Eðlilegt er að gagnrýni komi fram á störf okkar en við gerum okkar besta í þágu samfélagsins í Grindavík. Verum þolinmóð en margir íbúar eiga eftir að fá hringingu frá aðgerðastjórn. Announcement from the Police Commissioner in Suðurnes
Work is in progress to allow residents of the danger zone in Grindavík to access their properties today. This access applies to 90 homes. Yesterday‘s operations went smoothly but it takes time to allow access for everyone and this will be an ongoing process throughout the next few days. The response unit is currently receiving a large amount of emails and therefore answers can be delayed. An attempt is being made to fulfil the needs of Grindavík‘s residents and reply to emails received. The response unit‘s communication with the residents of Grindavík has been excellent, which the unit is grateful for under such difficult circumstances. It is only natural that criticism arises, but we are trying our best for the sake of the community in Grindavík. We ask you to be patient, many residents are yet to receive phone calls from the response unit. Please monitor press releases from the response unit, the main information outlets and news in the Icelandic media.

Trwają przygotowania do wpuszczenia mieszkańców na ich posesje w najbardziej niebezpiecznym obszarze Grindvíku. Dzisiaj pozwolenie na wjazd obejmuje 90 nieruchomości. Wczorajsza akcja przebiegła dobrze, ale wymaga więcej czasu. Prace będą kontynuowane przez kilka następnych dni. Trudno jest odpowiedzieć na wszystkie e-maile, które otrzymuje kierownictwo akcji.
