Lögreglan á Suðurnesjum og Almannavarnir biðla til íbúa annara sem eru á svæðinu að yfirgefa það sem fyrst og hlýða fyrirmælum viðbragðsaðila við rýminguna.

It is hereby informed that an evacuation plan has been implemented in the Grindavík area, the reason being that the Icelandic Meteorological Office‘s equipment strongly suggests that a magma flow is imminent in the area.
The Reykjanes peninsula police and the Civil Protection therefore appeal to all individuals located in the area, residents and others, to leave as soon as possible and to follow the instructions of emergency responders while evacuating.
